Good Goodbyes

How do you deal with goodbyes? By weeping? By smiling? Or just get over with it? Whatever it is, goodbyes are most likely the worst sadness source ever. Imagine, one day you laugh together with them, and then they just vanished on the other day. Much worse, sometimes you can’t even say goodbye. Everything’s just gone with the wind. At this point, you might wanna drown yourself in bottles of beverages, or just listen to some old Italian songs. You see, it’s not a pleasant thing to have.

“But what does ‘good goodbye’ means?”

Some of you might be thinking about Linkin Park’s song, but it’s not. If you noticed, there’s a word ‘good’ on ‘goodbye’. It means that not every goodbye is a sad thing. Sometimes, letting go makes everything better. And when it happens, you regret nothing. It means that your mission is accomplished, and you did a great thing. It’s just, being together doesn’t suit you. Or maybe there’s another opportunity waiting at the end of the line. Come to think about it, not every goodbye is a bad thing. It is painful, however, but that’s not even an excuse to invalidate your existence.

For example, some people might find themselves in a bad situation like having unfavorable terms in their lives. To overcome it, meaning that they should find a way out. But sometimes, the only way is to let go. You can’t force everyone or everything to stay with you. You had to make a good decision. You need to think quickly. And what’s best for you might not even be the greatest option.

So, handling goodbyes should be easy. Because there’s ‘good’ on ‘goodbye’. If someone leaves you, it’s not entirely your fault. Everything has its energy, and when someone leaves you, it means that their energy isn’t there anymore. Why waste your time weeping. Chin up, you deserve better.
